Android Users in India: Don’t Risk It – Take Action Now to Secure Your Device!

Experts from the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) have found several vulnerabilities in Android operating systems, including versions 11, 12,12L, 13 and 14. This widespread issue means that many Android devices may be affected.

According to the Cyber Security Agency under India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), several new high-risk vulnerabilities can be exploited by an attacker to obtain sensitive information, gain elevated privileges and cause a denial of service on a targeted system.

“These vulnerabilities exist in Android due to flaws in the framework, system, Google Play system updates, kernel LTS, Arm components, MediaTek components, Qualcomm components, and Qualcomm closed source components,” CERT-IN said.

The Cyber Agency emphasized that successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities can allow an attacker to obtain sensitive information, gain additional privileges and cause a denial of service from the targeted system.

Google has also acknowledged these high-risk vulnerabilities. According to Google’s Android security bulletin published last week, security vulnerabilities affect Android devices. They also release security updates for all Android users.
